About CCSDT:
The Center for Civil Society and Democracy (CCSDT) is an independent, non-profit Syrian organization founded in 2011. CCSDT aims to build a democratic and inclusive society through empowering local leaders, supporting good governance, and promoting
civic participation and independent media.
Purpose of the Position:
The Development and Partnerships Manager will lead CCSDT’s fundraising and partnership-building efforts by developing proposals, managing donor relations, and overseeing grant compliance. Additionally, the manager will supervise the organization’s visual communication, including the website and social media platforms, ensuring alignment with CCSDT’s mission and brand identity.
Key Responsibilities:
Development and Grants
- Design and lead CCSDT’s fundraising and donor engagement strategy.
- Draft and submit compelling project proposals in coordination with internal teams.
- Manage grants and sub-grants throughout their lifecycle (initiation, implementation, reporting, closure).
- Ensure compliance with donor requirements and CCSDT’s internal policies.
- Work closely with finance, programs, and ME teams to monitor project progress and ensure high-quality reporting.
- Oversee the development, updates, and management of CCSDT’s website and social media platforms.
- Ensure consistency in visual branding and messaging across all public-facing materials.
Qualifications:
- University degree in International Relations, Public Administration, Media, or a relevant field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in proposal writing and grant management in the NGO sector, including 3 years with international donors.
- Strong understanding of donor policies and compliance (EU, governmental agencies, private foundations).
- Fluency in Arabic and English (written and spoken).
- Experience in managing digital content and media platforms.
- Strong coordination, analytical, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Willingness to travel when needed.
