Dialogue and conflict resolution are the best ways to respect diversity while avoiding tensions and misunderstandings. We therefore consider dialogue as a key tool for reaching deep-rooted solutions that enable us to build a society free of divisions and violence. To this end, we have adopted special programs for Respecting Diversity.
Solutions to major challenges in society begin with small ideas. When the needs of the local and national community are identified, change can be achieved by taking the appropriate actions. Hence the idea of establishing CCSD emerged from the need of Syrian society to establish organizations able to organize communities so they can achieve more political, civil and economic rights.
The establishment of a civil society organization is not an easy task. There were long discussions between a group of Syrian activists who were divided between three countries in order to support and strengthen civil society, promote democracy, and remove the legacy of tyranny that has burdened Syrians for decades.
