Dear friends of CCSD,

As we start 2026, I want to thank you for your support of CCSD. Your partnership reassures us that we are not alone; it has helped create momentum in support of Syrian women, both inside Syria and across the diaspora.

I want to share the story of one Syrian woman, whom I’ll call Hana, to protect her safety. This year, Hana made a fresh start as a refugee in Europe. Like many Syrian women leaders, returning to Syria was not possible for Hana due to her security situation. When Hana received permission to relocate, CCSD provided financial, legal, and psychological support to help cover her relocation expenses and to assist her in navigating the challenges of adjusting to her new residency. Our team stayed closely connected, ensuring she had the support circle that she needed.

Because of your support, CCSD continues to serve as a trusted resource for Syrian women by offering protection and support – including legal support, and spaces for impactful engagement. We amplify Syrian women’s voices through initiatives such as Voices for Change.  At every opportunity, we champion their positions on protecting and securing their rights. Throughout the year, we convene Syrian women to discuss priorities and needs, and to support the co-creation of projects with their local communities. By sponsoring conversations with international actors and stakeholders, we connect local voices to the national and global levels. Our advocacy raises awareness of the realities and priorities of Syrian women as we strive to ensure their meaningful inclusion in shaping peacebuilding, recovery, and the transition to democracy.

With the challenges and opportunities of the coming year, we are committed to continuing our work to support Syrian women. We have set a target of raising $20,000 by March 8th, 2026. We invite you to join our support circle by making a tax-deductible contribution (USA) to help other Syrian women, like Hana, have the support and resources that they need.

This fundraising initiative is part of our Women’s Empowerment program. Your support helps us turn hope into action:

  • $25 supports one Syrian woman joining a group psycho-social session.
  • $50 supports one Syrian woman joining a group legal awareness session.
  • $100 supports one Syrian woman joining an individual psycho-social session.
  • $250 contributes to Education Grants. ($2500 for one Syrian woman).
  • $500 contributes to Legal Support Grants ($2500 for one Syrian woman).
  • $1,000 contributes to relocation grants ($5,000 for one Syrian woman).
