The Center for Civil Society and Democracy in Syria (CCSDS) is proud to announce that Board Member Sarah Creedon has been selected as a Technology & Human Rights Fellow at the Carr-Ryan Center for Human Rights at Harvard Kennedy School for the 2026–27 academic year.
The fellowship recognizes Sarah’s extensive expertise in human rights, international law, conflict accountability, and emerging technologies. As a Fellow, she joins a global community of experts and researchers examining the growing role of technology in shaping the future of human rights, governance, and accountability.
During her fellowship, Sarah will explore how emerging technologies can advance human rights and also create new challenges for governance, accountability, and the protection of rights. Her work comes at a critical time as rapidly evolving technologies increasingly influence societies, institutions, and policymaking around the world.
Sarah’s fellowship is also a valuable addition to CCSDS’s leadership and expertise. As a member of CCSDS’s Board, the knowledge and perspectives she develops through her research will contribute to strategic discussions within the organization and strengthen CCSDS’s ability to engage with emerging global debates at the intersection of technology, policy, and human rights.
Her appointment reflects CCSDS’s commitment to forward-looking leadership and to connecting local experience with global knowledge. It also reinforces our commitment to supporting innovative approaches to the complex challenges facing communities affected by conflict and political transition.
