Background
The Center for Civil Society and Democracy (CCSD) is an independent, non-profit, non-governmental organization that makes its own decisions and the decisions are taken by its members and are not affiliated with any political or religious authority, Since being established in 2011, CCSD has worked to contribute in the building of a stronger, more coherent civil society by supporting organizations and individuals with the aim of creating a solid community structure, strengthening and improving civil society, and stabilizing the pillars of democracy, it works with the local community and at the national level.
The Center seeks to support and strengthen civil society and democracy, and to promote the values of freedom, justice, and coexistence by analyzing the reality and formulating and implementing solutions as it seeks to build a stable society in which justice and sustainable peace prevail, and in which people live freely and have all their rights.
The Center for Civil Society and Democracy has established three Syrian networks and a magazine, the “I Am She Network” to support the active participation of Syrian women, The “Syrian Civil Platform” to advance the participation of civil society in the political process, “Aman Network” for building local peace through conflict resolution and increasing the safe spaces for civilians and the Center for Civil Society and Democracy still supports partner networks to achieve their goals.
The general purpose of the job
The psychological support counselor will conduct individual sessions and meetings with the aim of supporting CCSD’s team and partner actors to coordinate and create response plans to protect and improve people’s mental health and psychosocial well-being.
Academic qualifications and experience
At least five years of experience with psychological and social support
Graduate degree in a related field
Duration of the contract
The initial contract period will be from June 8th, 2020 to the end of June 2020
